Let Your Soul Soar

The other day I found myself recalling early childhood memories of visits to the farm my grandparents owned in East Tennessee. At one time, my grandparents had a pet birda large, scarlet macaw named Jack, who would curse like a sailor. I remember seeing Jack out of his cage and wondering why he wasn’t flying away. My grandmother informed me that Jack couldn’t fly because his wings had been clipped. In thinking of Jack, I started to see a similarity to the soul.

Your soul is like a bird with its wings clipped.

Jack’s wings were regularly clipped by an avian veterinarian to keep him grounded. Your soul’s wings are clipped when you identify with the ego and express negativity, judgment, fear, worry, and entertain negative thoughts.

You clip your soul’s wings.

When you live in the Present you awaken and engage the soul. The Present is unconditional Love. Love is the language of the soul and it is through Love that the soul expresses itself. The secret to letting your soul soar is to live in the Present and to Love.

Don’t let the ego keep your soul grounded. Be present, love, and take flight!

Peace and Blessings,
